Hospice
Hospice care is a special way of providing comprehensive health care to patients and families who are facing a life-limited illness. Hospice care assures patient and family comfort when medical cure of an illness is no longer possible.
Each hospice patient has a team of experts working together to assure the best medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support is provided. Hospice team members are on call 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
St. John offers continuity of care from hospital to Home Health to hospice care. One department provides both home health and hospice, providing a smooth transition from one service to the next if needed.
